Jiepang is the leading LBS service of China, aimed squarely at building a Chinese location-based social network for the world’s largest mobile Internet population.
With Jiepang, users can “check-in” at locations in China, earn badges, become mayors, sometimes earn special Jiepang discounts and benefits from partnered brands and locations, and ultimately share their location based activities to the major social networks in China (Sina Weibo, Kaixin, RenRen, Douban – equivalents of Twitter and Facebook in China) using a smartphone or feature phone.
Today, Jiepang has an app for iPhone, Android and J2ME, with more native clients for other mobile OS coming soon. Jiepang also has HTML5 and WAP versions on the mobile web available today.
